Third grade is working independently on choice projects while reflecting on two artistic habits mind– EXPLORING IDEAS (what we are showing in our art) and developing skills in different materials.
Some skills that have been introduced in class that students choose from include: ••creating different values, ••making gradients, ••showing things near and far (perspective), ••adding details to tell a story, Drawing 3D forms, ••Drawing from a photo resource, ••drawing from life, ••drawing from your imagination, ••drawing something you remember, ••showing emotion •• Showing Texture ••Making a design
Fourth grade students work on choice projects, using drawing or painting materials. Students learn to work independently as artists, making personal choices and meaning. class starts with a 5 minute demo of a skill or way of working. Students then choose which skills they will use as they create final Artworks for display and sharing.
